Nimesulide 100 mg + Paracetamol 325 mg
The combination of Nimesulide 100 mg and Paracetamol 325 mg is commonly used for its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.
Nimesulide
Class: NSAIDs, which abbreviate non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
Uses: It creates a reduction of fever, pain, and inflammation. Musculoskeletal diseases are common treatments, particularly arthritis, as well as painful menstruation or dysmenorrhea.
Mechanism of Action: inhibit the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX), thereby reducing prostaglandins, which are the mediators of pain and inflammation.
Paracetamol
Class: Antipyretic and analgesic
Uses: It lowers fever and helps with mild to moderate pain. It can most often be administered in cases of treatment of fevers, colds, backaches, toothaches, arthritis, headaches, and muscle aches.
Mechanism of Action: It acts by interfering with the generation of prostaglandins in the brain, thereby allowing for relief in heat and pain. The anti-inflammatory effect is also less potent than NSAIDs.
Combined Use: Nimesulide + Paracetamol
- Benefits: The combination is used to enhance pain relief and reduce inflammation more effectively than either drug alone. The analgesic effect of paracetamol complements the anti-inflammatory action of nimesulide.
